Senjani Agro -  Toraja coffee has existed since the 16th century, based on the records of Lontaraq Bilang – the daily record of the Gowa kingdom – which states that Toraja was the first area to grow coffee in South Sulawesi, this tradition was introduced by the people of the Gowa kingdom.

According to my friend who is a coffee lover, this coffee is one of the best quality coffee types in Indonesia and comes from the land of Toraja, South Sulawesi. Coffee plants, brought by Arab merchants who came to Makassar. This coffee is promoted as a drink that can make the eyes awake. Did you know, in the 18th century, coffee became a vital commodity for the people of South Sulawesi. Coffee at that time could be a barter tool. Now the 19th century became the peak of the glory of Toraja coffee, this commodity has even become the main savior of Indonesian trade.

Toraja coffee always has the highest price compared to other coffees from South Sulawesi. This is because Toraja has soil with an old structure so that the coffee has a more complex taste. The aroma and taste are very rich yet balanced. In addition, the surrounding environment is still natural so that the coffee ore can grow into plants which then offer the fruit to be tasted.
